MASTERS PRESENTS …

What do our Master students do when they are not making music for their assignments? Well, chances are they are just making more of their own music! Here is a showcase of audio works that demonstrate the wide range of approaches and eclectic tastes that constitute the undercurrent of our Postgraduate Music community.

Rene Kapel

MY WIFE (Official Music Video)

The song My Wife is a Future Pop song about love. It describes the journey, emotions and everything else to the point, when you can call someone a wife.

Thomas Lea

MAN IN THE MIRROR

A piano house remix of Michael Jackson’s ‘Man in the Mirror’. Featuring some experimental vocal chops taking inspiration from MK (Marc Kinchen).

Axdy

GRAND OPERA

Revolves around a girl who was unfortunately thrown into prostitution in her childhood. After she became a teenager, she left prostitution and decided to pursue her dreams in music.

Mary Lovett

DO NOT WAKE HER

I wrote this piece for a community theatre project that has now been adapted as a soundscape rather than live performances with musicians and choir as originally intended.

Ryan Debling

GAME JAM MUSIC

Triple bill on game music: Dimensions conveys a relaxing and magical feel along a sense of wonder. Rooms was composed with an alien planet and exploration in mind. Isolation was my first chiptune attempt for a “classic retro” styled video game.

Christos Papadopoulos

IN THE MOUTH OF A BLACK HOLE

For the past two years I’ve been really keen on astrophysics, really inspired and amazed by the vastness of the cosmos, which led me to composing an EP on the theme of “Cosmos”.

SamerI

KYOTO VIBEZ
This laidback Lo-fi track is inspired by Japanese producers Nujabes and DJ Okawar, incorporating the sounds of the koto and piano to provide a sense of calm, as if one was chilling in Kyoto gardens.
