TIGER’S EYE GOLD
Tiger’s-Eye Gold is an instrumental Techno song with elements of Electronic Trap and Trance. It features an emphasis on drums with rhythms inspired by world music, which is enhanced by resonant drones and modulated flutes. This is blended with 90s Rave inspired instrumentation in the chorus to bring out a dark energy in the song. This is made suitable for a Club with its deep, pumping bassline and powerful kick drum.

Since studying I have become more interested in field recording and using audio captured in the field. I attended a workshop run by a company called non classical that promotes and releases field recorded music. This is my submission for the next Fieldwave album which was accepted. The composition uses the sound of drips falling from a tube viaduct. Each drain had an individual rhythm and sound that I tried to capture along with the ever-present background of the tube.
